Foldable Gaming Table. Malifaux Board. Fantasy terrain. Part 9.

So, this will conclude my terrain and gaming board project. There is always more to do, more terrain pieces to add, but I feel that I have enough for some time forward.

I am quite happy with the end result. I fixed up my old gaming surface and added a bunch of terrain, hopefully making future games more Immerse and thematic.

Now it is going to be fun to start something smaller, a Squad of something would be nice :) .

Foldable Gaming Table. Malifaux Board. Fantasy terrain. Part 8.

So, I am slowly approaching the end of my little terrain project. Just have a couple of things left and then I hope I can get a game in on the new table.

This is the last big terrain piece, a fantasy observatory made out of an old security camera :) . In the back you can see 1 out of 3 different types of fencing I am currently working on. Love the feeling when things start to come together.

Foldable Gaming Table. Malifaux Board. Part 5.

Work have continued on the other side of the board. This is how it looked before I started.

It took quite some time to remove all the pebbles and gravel. I also wanted to have some kind of river spreading from the lake.

I have never worked with water effects or anything like that, so it took some time looking at references. But I finally decided on how to move on. I also added a small train track on the side of the board. It will work as a walk way and will be a permanent installation.

After adding some bushes, turfs and other foliage, it was time to add the water. For the main parts I used 2 components resin. And for small puddles and streams I used UV resin from greenstuff world. The UV resin hardened crazy fast and enabled me to add some waves and irregularities to the water.

All and all I feel that the table is shaping up nicely. Considering that this is the very first time I do anything like this, I am quite happy of the progress. I have some details to add and some pieces of terrain to finish, but other than that I am close to finishing this little project.

Foldable Gaming Table. Malifaux Board. Part 1.

This is a little different from what I normally blog about. Christmas 95 or 96 my father made and gave me my very own gaming table with terrain. Back in the days this table was the boom. It was foldable and came with all terrain pre-setup.

But as time went on the static setup started to be a bit boring and after years of playing it have seen better days.

So I have decided to fix it up and adapt it to 2020 and beyond.

First step is to remove all trees and put them on there own bases. The remove most of the pebbles and stones. Once finished I hope I have a dynamic and original gaming table for different types of fantasy games. Primarily the table will be used for Malifaux but there is other games I play that it will be suited for.

I have never done anything like this so this will be a little adventure for me. Going to be fun :D .

Horus Heresy. Iron Warriors. Breacher squad. Part2.

The first 10 breachers is done. This also concludes something I started about two years ago. 2018 I realized that most of my iron warriors was really poorly painted. This is the last unit from that “time” and now I feel I have an iron warriors that I am happy to field on the table top. I will take some more pictures of the force in it’s entirety as soon as conditions allow for it.
