The final dreadclaw is finished. I am slowly getting to the end of this revisit of my Word Bearers. I have a couple of things left to do before I call it.
This dreadclaw was a rescue pod from an old purchase I made. It was badly constructed to begin with. I tried to fix most of the issues, but sadly some things were not fixable. I however think it looks ok on the tabletop.
Now I am just hoping that this pandemic can go away so I can play some games again.
Argel Tal
“Do you really think that I enjoy this; the torture and the killing? That I would rather not have peace? ... but this is what the true Gods demand, Khârn. This is the Truth we have, this is the galaxy we live in”
“You are Argel Tal. You were born on Colchis, in the village of Singh-Rukh, to a carpenter and a seamstress. Your name means ‘the last angel’ in the dialect of the southern steppes tribes”

I think I have come back to my word bearers once every year since I started with them. And every year I have almost sold them, haha. Now I am at that point again where I add stuff and put time in. Maybe this year will be the year where I find my love for this legion to last the whole year around.
I had this old drop pod laying around and a big big bits box urging to be used. A couple of weeks later I now have a heavily converted dreadclaw. If it was any other legion I would probably not have bothered, but the background for Word Bearers kind of suit this kind of conversion. The conversion itself was nothing to hard, just time consuming. But I like it. A corrupted machine spirit and a little possession seems like a nice fit for this most zealous of legions.
I have one more dreadclaw to finish. This time it will be the proper one from forge world and without all the corruption.
