HOBBY LOG

A little update on my Word Bearers termination squad and terminator praetor. The terminators was already painted up all I have done is to add oils and decals. Not just oil washes but also adding highlights, leans glows and surface highlights. This is another example on how you can use oils on miniatures. It is quite easy to just add to already existing paint schemes. In fact this will most likely be my approach going forward. Acrylic base and then continue and finish with oils. Any way, ending it here :) .

HOBBY LOG

Finally I got the time to share some hobby progress. May have been a busy month, but as it comes to a close hopefully it takes all the busyness with it.

Anyway, The bulk of my Word Bearers is more or less done for now. There is some small additions I want to make but more on that at a later date. However, Word Bearers is also known for all their pet deamons.

With Zardu Layak in the force we need to represent the ruinous powers. Games Workshop have some incredible deamon models in their portfolio. But to me these are the 40K deamons. During Horus Heresy chaos and humanity was a young romantic couple. All had not fallen into place. So I wanted to go with something a little different from what we usually see.

I decided to go with Sylvaneth models to represent one of the strings of my Word Bearers ruinous symphony. These models where extremely easy to convert. I only used parts from the existing kit, except for one model.
And color scheme so far have been equally easy.

Black base coat

White Zenit spray (air brush)

Turquoise shadow/transition spray from feet and up

Brown oil wash, with cotton swab. Removing the wash so that the top surface becomes lighter.

Now, I am not completely done but I don’t think I will add anything to drastic on the color scheme. All and all it feels good to finally have some more time for hobbies again :) .

Lorgar Aurelian The Urizen

All I ever wanted was the truth. Remember those words as you read the ones that follow. I never set out to topple my father’s kingdom of lies from a sense of misplaced pride. I never wanted to bleed the species to its marrow, reaving half the galaxy clean of human life in this bitter crusade. I never desired any of this, though I know the reasons for which it must be done. But all I ever wanted was the truth.
— Lorgar
From the fires of Betrayal unto the blood of revenge we bring the name of Lorgar, the Bearer of the Word, the favored Son of Chaos, all praise be given to him. From those that would not heed we offer praise to those who do, that they might turn their gaze our way and gift us with the Boon of Pain, to turn the Galaxy red with the blood, and feed the hunger of the Gods.
