Horus heresy. Black shields. Iron warriors. Spartan Part 3

So I am almost done with the first steps. I have dry brushed silver on the hull of the Spartan to break up the baby blue color it once had. I have also added wash in all the corners were different armor plates are overlapping. Next step after this will be to start to apply another layer of silver. A very bright silver that I will sponge on. And then the tank will be ready for some dirt :) .

So it beginns. First step will be to remove some elements. This spartan was made for space wolves. So there was runes and legion nr on the hull. All looked very nice. But i cant have that if i want this to pass as a iron warriors tank. The idea is the same as it was with the land raider. I want to make some sort of paint scheme that will be ok for both black shields and iron warriors.

Malifaux

The second biggest game (Or equally big) that i play is malifaux. I love the different gameplay and the overall feeling of the game. If you dont know what it is, check it out. It is an awesome skirmish game.  

Now i have painted up more or less all the modells i own for the game. However the quality is a littel so so. So i am once every blue moon taking all the modells to the painting tabel to improve some of them.  

I am making some plans to expand my crew pool in the future. Problem is that it is to much to pick from so i cant make up my mind....i guess i need to buy it all ;) .

Yes the title is a mouthful. But considering what is on the painting table I think it is justified. I think I mentioned it a month ago. I am planning to “finish” my iron warriors. And the Spartan is the last piece to that puzzle. So I am super happy. Now the Spartan needs to get a new paint job. I will not re-paint it all but I will try to make it more iron warriorish. Love the model, going to be awesome once it is finished.

Horus heresy. Black shields. Land raider. Part 4

So weekend is over and we are back on track with the hobby work again. During the weekend there were also the chance to try battlefield 1 on PS4 and I of cores had to try it. It was a lot of fun I must say. But what was even more fun, was that I got a lot of inspiration for my iron warriors. I have tinkered with an iron warrior list with a WW1 feel to it. Mass infantry, cruel weapons and some odd tanks. I will work on the list some more and post an army list picture when I feel that I have something I want to field.  But the brutal ways of WW1 is really what Iron warriors is all about and I think this list will be both fluffy and effective.

I also made some small progress on my land raider. Looking forward to the week with a lot of hobby work and even some games planed. Let the good times roll.

Horus heresy. Black shields. Land raider. Part 1

Here is the land raider for the second marauder squad. Well it is a start any way. Feels nice to paint up a vehicles for a change. This is actually my very first land raider so I am excited to say the least. The idea is to make the color scheme in a dual purpose way. I want to use this transport both for my black shields but also for my iron warriors. I don’t think this will be much of a problem. But we will see were how it is going to end up.
