Horus Heresy. Thousand sons

Sometimes you go to bed with a problem and wakes up with the solution.

I have been looking at the burning of prospero box since it came out and have been pondering on the question if I really need it. My iron warriors don’t really need anything from the box and I am only looking to add five more marines to my blackshield list. So why would I buy the new box set? One thing that would be tempting is to actually paint up the box as space wolves and thousand sons. It would be cool to actually have the box as it is intended. It is a nice story and from what I have heard a nice game as well. It would also be a nice way to introduce horus heresy for someone that have never played it. Two small forces from a key part of the overall story. But the problem has been the thousand sons. I love the metallic look of the thousand sons but I don’t own an air brush and did not have a single idea on how to make the color scheme work with a paint brush. Until I woke up this morning that is. So here is a quick test model with the color scheme I dreamed up. So this might just happen. I love the story of the thousand son’s vs space wolves and how tragic the whole conflict became. Two super loyal legions erupt in fire and war. Leading to one of the legions turning traitor or rater forced to become traitors. The whole story I guess is about pride and arrogance from both legions leading up to the conflict.

Horus heresy. Iron warriors vs nightlords.

Today i finaly got to play a game of horus heresy after many weeks away from the gaming tabel.  

3000p of iron fire vs terror assault. Conrad vs perturabo. An epic clash that the iron warriors won. After six turns of bloody battle conrad feel and his legion shortly after. But it was not a easy victory. It was a victory paid for with blood and bodys. Perturabo and some of his tyrants was left of the IV to look out over a battle field littered with bodys and  brokend war machines. 

Super fun and exciting game!

Warhammer 40k. Necrons. Part 1.

It might seem like I have been painting all weekend. But to be honest i have not :). But i am however very inspired to do more necrons. So i will finish my necron force. And taking a look at the progress so far, this wont take to long. I am not so sure i will take my force and play a game any time soon. But two days ago i was going to sell my necrons army so anything can apperently happen.

Warhammer 40k. Necrons

So here are a fun story. I was taking out my old necron army. The Idea was that i was going to take some pictures of it so i could make a add and sell it off. However after everything was out on the tabel something happend. I now have some units on the painting tabel. A 2000p list have been drawn out and i have made plans for more purchases.....so 40k is still a thing it seems ;) . We will see how far this project will go. I will fix some of the bases and paint up some left over units. But It cant take up too much time. I still have alot of 30k plans.

Blackshields. Part3

Moving on with the blackshileds. In some areas the paint is growing thick. I did not think I needed to strip the models before i re-painted them. Looking at them now I might need to do something in some areas. But we will see. I will work on them a little more and see if I can fix some areas by hand. If not. I might just need to go back and start over.
