Frostgrave. Part4. The Pillars.

The rumors proved to be right. Not far from the museum there were a part of the city with six pilars, all holding big treasure cheests on top.


It all did seem like an easy job. Go in take the loot and go back to the base. Even if the siluetts of Seamus crew could be seen on the other side of the city it did not seem like an impossible thing. Gargamels crew spread out and the new addition to the crew was eager to prove him self. The big heavy armoured templar rushed into the city together with two barbariens and with support from Gargamel nothing could go wrong.


But even this treasure hunt was harder then it first did seem. The pilars was not just carved stone monuments. As soon as someone came close to the pilars. The stone came to life and pushed out hard hiting energy. This proved to knock some of the crew members aside. Only way to get to the treasure was to break the stone and fight the pilar as if it was alive.


Azrael took one of the flanks in charge of half of the crew. Keeping the archer back to support Gargamel and the front charge.


Gargamel came runing back just minutes after he had gone though the fog to the otherside of the city. Screaming to Azrael to gather what she could and head back to the base.


The templar had faild. Seamus and his crew had hit him and his support with force. Gargamel had no chance to do anything to help his front and was forced to go back. He left the front without the remaining soldiers, leaving them to the mercy of Seamus crew.


As Gargamels crew members struggeld with getting the treasure from the board something moved in the shadows. A bone dart came flying almost hiting Gargamel between the eyes. He turned his staff and replied the bone dart with one of his own. Something screamed of pain from the shadows and out in the light Seamus him self feel in to view. The green wizard had been stopt. But Gargamel did not have time to celebrate. Seamus crew was coming. Experienced killers was runing from the other  side of the city to put a knife in Gargamels back.


Gargamel almost made it out. But an arrow came flying. The sharp arrow head hit him straight in the back. And he feel in the arms of one of the archers.


He came to life in the comfort of his own bed. Azrael and the rest of the crew had made it out with three treasures and every one was alive. But half of his crew was badly hurt and needs to stay back for the next run. And to make things worse. The treasure cheest did not hold that much treasure as Gargamel had hoped.


Word on town has it that Seamus made it out just fine and so did his crew and they made it out with a lot of treasure. Gargamel needs to get out there again. There are much more treasure in the Frozen city and Gargamel plans to collect as much as he can.

Frostgrave. Part3. The living museum.

Once more Gargamel and Seamus found there way into the frozen city. There had been a lot of talk about a museum somewere in the city from explorers at the local pub. Of course our two treasure hunters geard up to loot the place.


The old museum housed big pots of gold and many treasure cheests. All placed in front of six big golden statues.


Gargamel and his warband made it into the museum first and got there greedy little fingers on the first three treasures. As soon as the first solider started to drag the first cheest away from one of the statues. The museum started to shake. A big noice ecoed in the old ruin and three statues started to move. With glowing eyes they gazed upon the thiefs and raised there hammers the stop the intruders.


To make the situation worse Seamus and his crew made it in to the museum as well and now it all had gone from a looting run to a fight for survivel.


Azrael stod in one of the doorways trying to help the crew members get out from the over runed ruin and in the end had to throw her self into combat only to be smashed aside by one of the statues. Gargamel did not fair any better and was knocked out together with half of his crew.


Seamus and his crew also took alot of damage and the man him self was also punched out, but only after he had taken out some of Gargamels crew members.


In the end Gargamel came back to life and found that his crew had made it out of the museum with five of the six treasures. Even Seamus made it back to his base and even if his treasure pile was not as big as his nemesis he had grown. The fights and his escape made him strong. And the one treasure he got was filled with riches.


Some members from both crews was badly hurt after the brutal fights in the museum but every one made it home alive.


Rumors has it that not far from the museum there is a place with some shiny pillars. Guess who are ready to follow up on that rumor. And i bet there will be someone else on its way as well.

Frostgrave. Part2. The silent tower.

Next part of Gargamels adventure in the frozen city took him to a strange part of the city with a big mysterious tower in the center. Of corse Seamus found his way to this part as well. Gargamel starts to suspect that he is being followed or maybe some of the new crew members are spiling words of Gargamels whereabouts. In any case the big treasure on top of the tower proved to bring out the worse of any one coming close to it. Seamus was hit hard and when everything was over he stod alone in the frozen city. Around him was his crew. Some dead, some hurt and some lost with in the tower. Gargamel however feed his greed and made it off the board with most of the treasure including the very special one on top of the tower. But he paid with his own blood and sacrifeced Azrael his aprentice in the prosses. When both crews made it back to there home bases it turned out that Gargamel and all of his crew will be all fine only suffering some scratches and bruises. And they are now celebrating there big score. Seamus on the other hand only made it back with half his crew. But he is alive and ready to go back into the city once more. He is not going to let Gargamle get away with this. This have now becomed more then a quest for treasure. Gargamel and his dirty crew have just made it personal.

Frostgrave. Part1.

Yesterday me and my wife played our first game of Frostgrave. I must say that this game was alot of fun. Gargamel lead his warband deep into one part of the frozen city. Christmas lights was sparkling and treasures and christmas gifts covered the jolly ruins of old. But Gargamel and his crew was not alone in this part of the city. The summoner Seamus had also made his way to this sparkling place of wonders. The two warbands looted as much as they could carry. Dodging arrows, swords and magical monsters. Both made it out of the city with plenty of treasures and a dissire to turn back to this place of wonders.

One of the cool things about Frostgrave is that even if the game is over the game is not over. The last part of the game is to level up, count the treasures and see what magical things the warband managed to take back to there base. Weapons, gold and scrolls are now divided among my warband and we are ready to go down to the frozen city once more with our new gear to find even more treasures. And I suspect we wont be alone in our quest to find more loot.

Frostgrave. Merry christmas.

I just wanted to wish everyone a merry christmas. The christmas gaming tabel is ready for the holidays and the game for this Christmas will be Frostgrave. A fantasy game of magic and treasure. I wil be taking my witch "Gargamel" (yes like the smurf killer) into the frozen city of christmas gifts and christmas lights. Me and my wife to be have had this tradition for as long as we have been together. Every christmas we pick a game to play during the holidays. And this year we investera in a new game that will be super fun to try out. Hope everyone have a great holiday with alot of family and gaming :)
