Iron Warriors. Sicaran Arcus. Part2.
Took me a while but now it’s finished :) .

A new version of Kuggköping is up on my website (4a).
What’s new? I have added a table of content, so it is easier to find specific rules (why wasn’t this in before…don’t know 😊).
The game also has an injury list now, called the Hurt Log. If a character gets reduced to zero wounds in a campaign the player rolls on the Hurt Log to see what will happen to the character. I wanted the Hurt Log to be both positive and negative, it should be exiting to roll on the list but of course not too positive, so players chase death instead of the victory.
There is a couple of new campaign rules in the game in the spare part section.
Lootstrider, is giving the player the option to have moving Gizmos in the game. This is both a fun addition to have loot moving around and being unpredictable but also opening the possibility for some nice hobby modeling. Like balloon Gizmos or Treasure robots.
Vagabond Machina, gives the option for the player to add roaming robots to the game either when setting up the game or when a player claims a gizmo. This is also a way to add some randomness to the game. These robots will treat both characters and enemy models as opponents so they will be somewhat unpredictable.
Hirelings, allows a player to create a simple warband and over the course over multiple missions collect resources. The resources may be used to buy items between missions to make the warband stronger over time. It basically removes the in-game leveling system and replaces it with a shop. The way you can customize the warband over time is very free and open. You can for example buy multiple modifications to a character or change faction as you please. This is perfect if a player wants to play and create more of a custom warband and faction.
Warband directive, adds an overarching victory condition to your linked campaigns. It felt like the linked campaigns was missing some sort of direction. Its fun to link campaigns together but it didn’t really have a point other than having your warband get stronger over time. I hope that this will give it more of a purpose. Maybe not the most innovative way of solving this issue but I think it will get the job done.
Finally, the new additions to the game have not been extensively play tested yet. I will start doing this, this, and the next week. But I wanted to share the updates anyway, I am excited for most of the additions, and I am looking forward to trying them out. A lot of these additions comes from suggestions from the Kuggköping Discord server (https://discord.com/channels/1113114473503412346/1113114473943793745). I will absolutely try adding things to the game that players feel is missing or that players want to see. If anyone gets the chance to try the additions out, please let me know what you think of them, this will help me a lot. I am sure the new rules need to be balanced some more, so don’t expect them to be perfect as they are. But hopefully the concepts are fun and not completely broken.
Thank you for all input!
So, behind the scenes I have been tinkering with a new game. It is based within the same universe as Kuggköping but it is a very different game in many aspects.
Farmageddon, as the game is called is a blend between a pen and paper game and a skirmish game. You take the roll as a farmer within the great corrosion and try to live off the land that…changed.
The game is not ready to be shared just yet, but I thought I could share some of the artwork.
Plan is to have some sort of Alpha or Beta version up on the blog after summer.
Another repurposed tank slowly getting ready for the great 4th legion :) .
Great news everyone!
For anyone that might have missed it. The 28-mag challenge is live! I am looking forward to see wonderful and strange creations from the community not just for Kuggköping but also for all the other games :D .

Here is the official announcement:
“It’s that time of the year again folks! The 28 Challenge is here and this time we are going all in on indie games. For a year now we have been adding games to our site and now it’s time to make some miniatures for them!
Each game form their own category and you can enter as many of them as you want, but only once per category. What we are looking for is something that fits into the game, both the aesthetic and mood, but also as an actual gaming piece. This means that each category has a very different tone and we hope there is at least one game that will capture your imagination.
To enter the challenge you need to build a suitable miniature(s) and send up to 3 pictures of the entry to submissions@28-mag.com before the 1st of October 2023. Mark the email 28 CHALLENGE and what category it’s for. Please also include your name and Instagram account/similar place your work can be seen at.
We hope you have a great time creating your entries and we can’t wait to see what you will make! ”
Here is a link to all the games on 28-mags website (if you didn’t know already):
I made a decision a week ago. I have had a World Eater’s army for many years. I have played it a couple of times in HH 1.0 and faced of against them in HH 2.0.
I love the lore of WE and my absolute favorite character in Horus Heresy is Kharn. Despite this I never seem to get the urge to play them.
When I first made the army I added a bunch of vehicles and I was pretty happy with how they turned out.
What have bothered me throughout the years is that I have a few cool tanks that never get fielded. It feels a little sad to see them just sitting there waiting to be used. So I made a decision, a decision to repaint them and fold them into my Iron Warriors.
First out is the predators. I really love the old old sculpts. They are so iconic, I wouldn’t say they look beautiful but weirdly cool. This pumps up my IWs predator pool to 6 strong. I will continue cannibalising the WE tanks and add them to my first love. In the end I will be fielding a nice and fat Armored Breakthrough list. Looking forward to it 😁.
Happy Friday! I got some fun news during the day. I sent the rulebook to a printing company and received the 10 test copies today 😊. So cool to see it in physical print.
Some layout changes might be needed but nothing major. I am happy 😃 . Now my future grandchildren have their heritage secured 🤣.
Great news everyone! Kuggköping now has a Discord server. Join it and tell your friends!

Also! Kuggköping is now featured on 28-mags website :D . I am super happy about this. If you don’t know about 28-mag then it is time for you to dive into their incredible work. It is a digital magazine featuring all things 28mm miniatures …preferably on the dark and the grime spectrum of the hobby.

In their game section you will find a number of indie games to try out for free.
The three Toadies are done. I like the way they came out. Now I have all I need for my Leech Lovers.
The loving couple is blessed by the priesthood and the holy scrotum 🤣.
Today is a big day for me. Kuggköping have gone from a Beta version to an “official” version. What dose all this mean? For me it means that the game design and layout steps is more or less finished and that is something I am very proud of. It has taken me three years to come to this point, starting from an idea and now I am almost at point where the game can be printed into a physical copy.
Kuggköping is a one-person work, and my biggest hopes is that the game can inspire others to be creative. You don’t need to be a company or be born with extraordinary skills to create something that you can enjoy. All you need is passion and patience.
If you want to try a “solo”-skirmish game for 1-2 players, with low model count and a lot of narrative, then I urge you to give Kuggköping a try.
Kuggköping can be played on a grid space gameboard or on an open game board using inches instead of spaces. Welcome to the whimsical world of Kuggköping, where a city appeared out of nowhere and ushered in a new age of steam machines, Gizmos and corruption.
Some more work have been done on the wired trio :) . Just going to let them dry and then it is time for some oils.
I decided that my leech lovers needed a following. It is a wedding after all.
And the cute couple is done 😁. Now time for som priests or similar.
Next little step on my Leech Lover.
Some progress on the Leech Lovers. Blocking in some colors and adding some oils. Now we have to wait for it all to dry before we can continue :)
It is more than a year ago since I discovered Turnip28.
Today we had over first game. I absolutely love it.
It was long since I played a new game that I can’t wait until I get to play again.
We played 2 games over the course of 5 hours with a 1 hour break for lunch. These games included reading the rules for the first time (more or less).
I think that this is part of the appeal (besides the wonderful narrative) and the fact that the game feels deep enough to be challenging for both players once both know what to do.
I got so inspired that I began a new model to represent my Leech Lovers.
I can highly recommend this game for anyone who is looking for a lighthearted wired and wonderful game with a lot of tactical potential.
I am slowly building a unit of old school bloodletters. The aim is to build a full daemon army made up of old wonderful metal miniatures and maybe some forgeworld additions.
Here is the first 10 miniatures. I have about 20 more of these.
I have to come up with a nice base theme for them.
It is finally time for me to share the next update for Kuggköping.
Over the past months I have been hard at work trying to move the game from a Beta state to an official version. Even if the game is still in beta, it is not far from being completed.
A lot have happened with the game over the past months. Last time I wrote about the game I said that no more major changes would come to the game. This turned out to be a mistake. Shortly after I wrote that blog post I got an ide that forced me to re-write the whole game from the ground up. This was a lot of work but in the end I think it was all worth it. The game is in a much better state now and I am excited that I have been able to take it this far. To be clear the game is in principle the same game as before. You still create a warband and you still go on adventures in Kuggköping.
Last stages of the game will take a bit more time. But I feel that the time for a test print of the game is fast approaching.
I have had 3 goals in mind when I set out on this journey.
1. Create a world that I feel is alive and unique.
2. Create a solo game within this world that I find exiting and fun.
3. Take the game to the highest production quality I can and print out my own physical copy.
We could say that I am half way their even if the last 50% will probably go much faster than the first 50%.
I still have my eyes set on reaching my final goal before my summer vacation, This is of course not set in stone but I have found that I work better with a deadline.
I hope you will take a look at the game and hopefully you will enjoy it as much as I do.
A couple of weeks ago I got my hands on the new Argel Tal model. Ones you start painting this model you can’t stop. Very fun model to paint.
I have a bunch of different projects on my hobby desk, some of which have been completed. But I am still working on the lights and setup for my camera. I think I am getting there but I am still not super happy with the setup yet.
I guess it is a process like anything else :) .
Here is some new miniatures for my Neverborn. Made some conversions on these ones.
